Tonight we picked up an heirloom-quality bed for Holden. It’s a twin size “Shipmate’s” platform storage bed made by Pompanoosuc Mills; we picked it up second-hand for a fraction of what its retail price. Gorgeous bed, and one that The Boy ought to get about 16-20 more years use out of.

H-bomb seems very excited for it. He told us that it was “solid as a rock” (!?!?) and he generally could not stop himself from talking about it, climbing up onto it, and breaking into the linen closet to get more blankets to pile on top of it.
